Full Description0.9m x 125mm Feather Edge Board – Pressure Treated Brown This 0.90m x 125mm brown feather edge board is UC4 pressure treated for durability and ground contact use, ideal for building low-level closeboard fencing such as front boundaries or decorative side returns. Each board is manufactured using the 2EX method, where a 22mm thick board is diagonally cut to create two tapered feather edge pieces. Final board thickness typically ranges from around 15mm at the thickest point to 5mm at the tapered edge, providing excellent overlap, drainage, and structural strength. This board is often paired with a gravel board to raise the finished fence height to approximately 1.05m (0.90m 0.15m), helping prevent splashback and rot from ground moisture. Closeboard fencing built with this board can be installed using either of the following systems: Traditional Timber System – Wooden fence posts, cant rails, and wooden gravel boards offer a classic look. Heavy-Duty Concrete System – For maximum longevity, use concrete recessed posts and concrete gravel boards with timber cant rails. This system is ideal for high-traffic or moisture-prone areas where timber alone may eventually degrade.
