Description Syringa vulgaris ‘Sensation’ Common Lilac. A small tree of strong, erect habit which has heart-shaped leaves. It bears fragrant, purple-red double flowers with a distinct white margin in May or early June. Deciduous. Grow in fertile, humus-rich, well-drained, neutral to alkaline soil in full sun.
