I was looking for a warm blanket sleeper to put on over a regular sleeper and keep my little guy warm at night because he’s kicked off covers ever since he learned how to kick his little legs and move his blankets. I tried several other options that were too thin or didn’t have legs before I found this. It’s exactly what I was looking for! Plush and lightweight but heavy enough to not need additional blankets and quality fabric that could withstand multiple wash cycles.I hit the jackpot when I chose this! I was skeptical at first because the fabric was so lush I didn’t think it would last but it never flaked out on me. My lo sleeps in this sack every night and it’s washed every other day. It’s never pilled and is just as soft after sixty or so wash/dry cycles.It’s made a little saggy in the torso which I love for bulky sleepers underneath. The hood is a bit on the small side so if your baby’s head is a normal size you shouldn’t expect the hood to cover baby’s entire head and ears in the 6-12 month size. You should consider a size up or using a hat. The infant size hood is a little bigger than it should be though in my opinion.I wouldn’t expect to use this outside on really cold days because it’s more like a lightweight plush throw blanket with no lining but chilly weather over a fully clothed baby it will definitely cover.The inside doesn’t have a lining but is just as soft as the outside and the zipper is top notch! I’ve never had a single zipper snag even slightly and I use it daily. This is the second size I’ve used because my little guy grew out of the first one and this is a must have for night time use for us. Our house stays on the cooler side at night and this is perfect to keep him warm and snuggly all night. It’s breathable but not thin or flimsy by any means yet not at all bulky.I’ve purchased the navy and gold and the colors are so regal. They have never faded or bled in the wash. The navy did shed slightly when brand new but after the first couple washes it didn’t shed anymore. The golden brown color is a different fabric from the navy but is still great quality so no complaints just worth mentioning.The navy color fabric is slick and more formal like but the golden brown looks more like fleece and is more casual. It doesn’t feel at all like fleece though. It’s extremely soft and silky feeling.I would highly recommend this over any sleep sack available if you want your baby to stay warm and don’t want to worry about them staying covered all night. Regardless of your intended purpose this is definitely worth the cost!Even though it’s being sold more for use as a coat it really is more like a plush blanket that’s tailored to fit baby.
