The Affinium S range, comprising 10’, 11’, and 12’ feeder rods, retains subtle strength and power with slimmer blanks and low to medium BTC ratings, while offering a more refined feel that creates the “SENSATION” during use. Each rod in the Affinium range was developed as its own project, with design, engineering and testing carried out individually for every model. The process involved NuFish’s development team alongside sponsored anglers, consultants and engineers. All blanks were subject to extensive field testing and quality checks before final approval, and only those that met the required performance standards were included in the range. Affinium ‘S’ 11ft Feeder Rod This 11ft model in the ‘S’ Sensation range of the Affinium rods is a real wolf in sheep’s clothing with its slim lightweight 2 piece blank construction. The elegance of this rod indicates its suitability for fishing with finesse but the design of the blank means that it retains plenty of guts in the butt section when you want to take that refined fishing to greater distances or when using larger feeders . With a 180g BTC rating this rods will subdue hooked fish with its excellent fish playing action in the top third of its blank but will back you up with its strength when needed . A wonderfully balanced rod that will cover still water fishing and slow moving waters from short to mid range distances up to 50mtrs. Supplied with 3 solid carbon tips from 0.75oz for finer work and then a 1oz & 1.5oz for when you want to use the upper reaches of its capability. The rod is supplied in a high quality protective sleeve. THE BTC RATING BTC rating (Butt-Tip Curve rating) is a measured test, which rates the performance power of a rod. The BTC is determined by applying weight to pull the rod tip through its natural curve to compress the rod by 1/3rd of its total length at 90° to the butt section.
