Parshvanatha figure India Bronze 4.3 inches (11 cm) high without base Date of 1235 Samvat (1178 CE), so presumed 12C Ex private collection, Northern CA A Jain bronze figure of Parshvanatha, the 23rd tirthankara. The snake is his emblem and he is often depicted with a serpent having seven heads, as is the case with this figure. The side figures are worn, and probably represent guardian/yaksha Dharanendra and yakshi Padmavati. The date and other inscriptions cover the lower plinth on three sides; detailed photos on request. $1500
